Wow! Thank you! I don’t know what to say to that it’s so nice. But we really do appreciate it.

Great! Thanks Michael. You are a silver soul and may the gods dance around you in a chorus of divination and synchronicity; and may your adventure continue as the years stretch out.
I don’t believe anything happens by accident. Especially when two souls meet at the threshing floor within the crown of wonder and joy.
Nice!
Joseph’s good people, and a friend of mine.
Just added you on Facebook, by the way, so you know it’s me.

I googled Joe Methany and Alterati. Used to lurk there about a year ago. I’ll put a link on my blog.
Thanks, Michael.
Hey Rob! Thank you for the kind words.
Tell two friends!
How’d you find us?

Hey! Great stuff watching this in Brisbane, Australia. R. Paul might be the last man standing thinger. Who knows… about time to reboot the system, I think, and he the guy to do it.
Cheers
Rob
chupacabra. lol! Damn little goat-sucking kitties!
I don’t think it has to do with age. I’ve met cats of all ages who have it, and who don’t.
That makes total sense, JR!
Added it to the glossary entry for “Crazy Cat Spot” and will mention on next cast. Thank you!
MWD
Sure thing!
I’m noticing, though, that my cat’s crazy button is either missing or dysfunctional. It doesn’t work! I am beginning to believe that neither of them are cats at all, but hairy chupacabra.
Since they are both about one year old, I’m wonder if it’s something that comes with age. Going against my last statement, but perhaps something to uncover there.
Cheers,
Awesome episode gentleman.
In regards to the crazy cat spot phenomena-
Here is a little something that someone wrote on the internet after apparently reading something somewhere, for which I later came along and read what they have said to had read and then wrote(grammar?):
“I think I read something somewhere about it being a means for mother cats to get their kittens to nurse; by licking a kitten at that point above the tail, it encourages them to go for the nipple.”
I’m enjoying the discussion on folks in the military. Good points by all. Two things I’d like to add.
First I came across this great pie-chart showing military donations to Ron Paul http://www.dailypaul.com/179080/if-a-picture-is-worth-a-thousand-words
There is a good chunk of folks in the military that are throwing their support by the anti-empire candidate.
This brings me to my second point. I think when people speak of “the troops” or soldiers or whatever they tend to lump them all in as one collective. But just like any other demographic the military is made up of millions of unique individuals. There could even be some Freedom Feens in the military who haven’t found an opportunity to leave yet or are stuck for some reason.
I think the mainstream media is for the most part obsolete and statist; yet I’m an employee (hopefully not for too much longer).
Every individual has their own unique reasons for being where they’re at in life.

The military situation is a complex one. Ideally you’ll have the model soldier who is the diehard apolitical drone that follows orders for the love of some nebulous patriotic ideals. But it’s never been that way in reality, and never will be. Colby Buzzell who did the book and blog My War is a good example, he’s someone who should have known better, but he joined up anyway, got PTSD and almost got stoplossed back in. Generation Kill is also a good book to give insights into what the modern solider looks like now.
Sure some do it out of lack of any kind of real job, but push comes to shove, you can make $80+ a day cash cleaning up debris at construction sites, or some other unpleasant thing. Still, men being what they are, the lure of going to some foreign country and shooting things up will still pull them in generation after generation. For some it gives them a purpose, for others they simply get out of their previous rut. And into a new one.
And yet, the general public, who probably know enough “problem children” who ended up in the military, will carry on about how special and wonderful the people in the military are, and how they support the troops. At least until someone in their family gets discharged and needs a place to couch surf for a half dozen weeks, or another $600-$1000 until their payroll situation is sorted out.
Then they’ll be back to calling that person a deadbeat good for nothing who dropped out of college, etc, etc, etc.
In the end, I think maybe the idea of all these wars is to expend the energy of the younger generation most likely to drive change. Burn them out from endless deployments, get them killed, maimed, or mind f’ed from PTSD and they’ll be in no shape to change the status quo later on. They guy who stays home and suctions out septic tanks for a living, well, he probably never cared much about changing the world in the first place. :/
Paul, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn’t saying “all soldiers are robots.” I was saying “it is ideal to a military of all soldiers are robots.” ….as in the generals don’t want the privates being freewheelin’ freethinkers.

Hey Michael, while your point about the draft is true, go ahead and read this:

Great podcast guys, glad I was able to inspire some of it. Neema’s point that everybody is forced to pay taxes for something they don’t like was spot on. I’ve used this line of reasoning to successfully show liberals and Ron Paul fanboys how the state, no matter how large or small, initiates force.
Jason, re: “a vote for Bart is a vote for anarchy”, it’s not on YouTube or anywhere I can find it online. The Simpsons are really persnickety about people sharing their stuff.
Here’s the script, if that helps:
http://www.snpp.com/episodes/7F19.html
excerpt:
“… Martin’s Poster: A Vote for Bart is a Vote for Anarchy!
Bart’s Poster: A Vote for Bart is a Vote for Anarchy! [scrawled]
— The campaign for class president, “Lisa’s Substitute”….”

Stephen and Daniel…-
Word! Worms! And thank you!
Paul – in Vietnam, a lot of ‘em were drafted, so hated it. Now they “draft” people who hate it by wrecking the economy so that it’s the only choice! I have a young friend who signed up recently who fits this description. And good point on competing lotteries, we’ll bring that up next week.
Jason H., – if Ron Paul doesn’t win we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing. If he does win, we’ll have to start podcasting more complaining about my local water board. That would be a quality problem!

No video on a vote for Bart is a vote for anarchy? -LOL-
I just finished the latest Freedom Feens podcast while cleaning my living room Spring Cleaning style until 1am. So…the view that Freedom Feens holds on a gradual incline towards an anarchist system has helped to verify a few things for me: 1) I am not the only person who has thought this. My support for Ron Paul is not just based on his great ideas and fortitude, but that I believe that he would help to give America a good taste of what real liberty and freedom is. Of course he would be a shock to the system, but the system needs a good shocking to it. Once the People taste this freedom and liberty it should be much harder to dupe them in to voting in another skunk president; 2)I think that very few anarchists will admit that the States need a gradual increase towards a non-Statist society based on the basic principles that they have firmly accepted, but would not a step in the right direction be better then peddling towards more severe oppression? Peddling towards more oppression is away from the principles of anarchy. I’d rather have a gradual move towards an anarchist society, because I think this move is the only logical alternative. The opposing side of this move is likely a far jump in to an even more oppressive government.
One may ask, what will the anarchist do who are under our opinion if in 2012 Ron Paul doesn’t win? We will do just as we are doing now and even more so. We will continue to educate the People, stand up for real freedom and liberty and, I hope, join together bound in unity as if our lives and our children’s lives depend on it. After all our lives and our children’s lives do depend on it. Life is not much when your liberty and freedom is taken from you.
Michael, you are a bit off about people in the military. Yeah, many are drones but not all of them. Hell, even the Chinese had to shop around to find a unit that would attack at Tianmen Square. In my squadron back around 1970, it seemed like about half hated the Viet Nam war. The other half didn’t care. It looked like a M*A*S*H unit more than anything.
Lotteries aren’t bad except for one thing: governments don’t allow competing lotteries.
They are not “public schools”, Michael. They are “government schools”.
Great show, y’all.
The second to last video really shows how stupid Obama’s followers are. They have no clue about economics & think that Keynesian has means he is from Africa. What morons!
Ron Paul 2012!!
