FREEDOM FEENS LIVE, April Fool’s Day, 2012

Happy Birthday Feens From Vaclav

Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi celebrate one year of FEENING by chatting about the 70s cop show Adam-12, cops, cats, sex, Stefan Molyneux, feminist panties, Prague, Ted Nugent,  and they take a call from Michigan (about pig-on-pig tyranny) and a call from Prague (about the march from communist tyranny to one-world tyranny).

As usual, this archive contains all the wonderful behind-the-Feens chatter during commercial breaks.

CHECK OUT Michael’s new side podcast, I have a new, second show: The Anarchy Gumbo Podcast. (Insomniac anarchist chat and chatter from Michael W. Dean and a rotating cast of nifty guests.)

  1. LRN plays the most current episode, so it would be whichever one is right before that, should be easy to find on this website.

The Prague FTP archive is full, so it’s not going to have new episodes going forward, at least until we start making a bunch more money and can afford additional space.

If some Feen wants to Feensource a text file of episode numbers corresponding to dates, I’d post it on the FTP site. Wouldn’t take up much room.

I’ll give thought to adding dates into the file numbers going forward. Makes sense. Made a note to myself to do so. Will still leave the episode name in too.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi Michael,

Understood. Thank you for your already careful measures.

Unfortunately, I lack the time and resources to mirror the content as well, but I will notify you at a more appropriate time. Changing FILENAMES to be more verbose is perhaps unwarranted as it’s an extraneous luxury. The best way to do so would be with a script that automates such an action. Re-tagging the mp3s (ID3 tags) however is not exactly what I had in mind. I agree, that is just unnecessary because once one possesses the audio, the content is king.

By the way, my suggestion stemmed from my search for an episode of FF that I heard the other night as I tried to sleep. I kept thinking, “Oh that’s good… I need to write that down, but for all of my insomnia, I’m not getting back up. I’ll just listen again later.” The broadcast was via an LRN module at Marc Stevens’s site so I had no reference for your show’s episode number. I’ll eventually locate it. Today I connected to the FTP server and noticed that a somewhat archival directory of your shows would be a nice touch and should include show dates. Alas, the online method suffices.

I’m not sure that this is the correct venue for my discussion and I think I’ve taken up enough of your time.

Thanks again. I do appreciate your reply. Best of luck to you!

  3. Jumping Jehoshaphat,

glad you like the new server. I upload to it via secure FTP, but we want the downloading to be free and easy for anyone. The gub’mint already has a guy whose full-time job is listening to all Feens media, so it’s not helping or hurting that.

I’m too busy to re-tag MP3s, or even do it going forward. But we’d love it if you download ‘em, tag ‘em as you’d like and host them somewhere. The more places they’re hosted, the better. Send us an e-mail or comment if you do, and we’ll mention it.

    Thanks!

  4. Hi Michael,

Great job. The new FTP server is excellent: simple anonymous connectivity, blazing transfer speeds—and of course—interesting content.

I wonder if there is a way to connect using encryption… That is: FTPS for connecting secure anonymity and SFTP for a layer of protection over transfers to buffer any “cyber assailants” and/or savage “state supporters”.

One more recommendation or request: could the Podcasts and live contents’ filenames be enhanced with dates? Maybe something could be provided a date command, such as “FFP-000-$(date +%m-%d-%Y).mp3 ” to output—for example—FFP-000-04-11-2012.mp3. This is only a suggestion…

Thanks, and again, great job on the program… I look forward to its future!

  5. Micheal, I listened to your interview (conversation) with Stefan and I have to say that is the best I have from both of you. I enjoyed it immensely!
