Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi talk about people getting droned for cussing, Left-wing media bias due to kids in the 70s seeing the movie All the President’s Men and going to journalism school thinking they’d all expose the next Watergate, Austin Government Officials Seize Mans Home because he had a Bunker, how it’s interesting that red, white and blue are the colors of the flashing lights on top of a cop car, radio controlled drone-like citizen airplanes flying over San Francisco and in the Grand Canyon, Greece just elected a bunch of communists and Nazis but that’s not much different from American Democrats and Republicans, and the new toy “security checkpoint” for training kids to be fed goons.

Dan,

My proposed new name for libertarian, anarchocapitalist, and/or voluntaryist freedom lovers is “sane.”
Hey, just wondering what opinions you guys have on “gay marriage”. I am perplexed by how many libertarians see gay marriage as a freedom issue. I DON’T.
I’m all for allowing people to live with whomever they want to, letting them engage in any consensual sexual practices they like. I’m all for keeping government OUT of their business. But marriage (as a secular, legal institution) is precisely a state-granted special status. It’s basically a tax deduction for people who take the economically punitive step of having and raising children*. They also get a few other freebies, such as forcing one partner’s employer to cover the other partner’s health insurance. Note that same-sex couples are physically incapable of doing the basic thing that marriage is about (having kids). The question is, do we want to expand the government entitlement even to people who clearly CAN’T qualify (because they CAN’T produce children together even if they want to)? Makes no sense to me.
Ron Paul is right in saying government should not concern itself with marriage in the first place. But since, unfortunately, that is already the status quo, the question is, should we expand this nonsense even further?
Since marriage is a government-issued special tax status, how can anyone have “the right” to marriage? This is nonsense. They have the right to live together, to have a party, to invite their friends and call it a “wedding” if they like. They can use any words they like and even call it a “marriage”. But why should government force others to recognize it? And what kind of idiot needs a state-issued certificate to make their own love relationship feel legitimate? Expanding marriage to include “gay marriage” is just expanding the state. No wonder Obama likes it!
*Given in anticipation and expectation of them actually having children. Yes, I know that sterile people can marry, and some marriages never produce kids. People who do this are getting a free ride if you ask me, but it’s unavoidable since nobody can be sure a couple is really sterile – UNLESS they are a same-sex couple.
Yeah, I couldn’t fix it, others couldn’t see it either, so I removed it.
Thanks!

Jimmy,
Try the pop-up player now please. I changed a setting that may fix it.

Now I don’t see the “Play in Popup” button at all. Which, I suppose, fixes the problem (in a way). Anyway, it’s fine with me, just trying to help out.
There is something wrong with the “Play in Popup” button; it doesn’t work. I’ve tried this in both IE and Firefox several times over the past 2 weeks. Just a heads-up.
I suppose you could go with something like “LibArcist” to cover libertarians, libertines, anarchists, and voluntarists.
Done!

The news stations in school is very true. Although the one at my high school never had ads, we did have public school propaganda and “support your sports team!” bullshit. They also played really bad pop songs in between to further entice the statist sheeplings.
