Yea I guess I meant to say balanced. Either way it hums horribly if they are both plugged in to male to male 1/4″ TRS cables. I do have one 1/4″ to XLR cable, but I use it for the ribbon mic. I know I can just buy some new cables. I probably should.
Neema, your mixer DOES have balanced outputs. They are on 1/4″ TRS jacks. Just get a TRS (3-conductor) 1/4″ to XLR cable or adapter and you can carry the balanced signal from the mixer to compressor.
Something I have been meaning to say for a long time, the sound quality on your show is superb, but I love that the volume is louder than some casts. The worst offender I have ever seen is Real time with bill maher. You would think with all the resources of HBO backing him up he could put out a half decent podcast. But all I ever hear on that show is a bunch of passive aggressive comments whispered by dinks. Your show comes out crisp and clear, his show is a bunch of quiet gibberish. The only reason why I bother with them at all is because a friend likes that show
