Good podcast, I glad that you talked about the “Internet Militia.” I feel the same way, when the shit hits the fan they will turn over anything the state demands, just like their tax dollars and privacy…

I was thinking about the Marines having the bolts removed from their rifles, and wondering… Is it a question of disabling the rifles because they don’t trust the Marines? If so, couldn’t the firing pins be removed to accomplish the same purpose? I’m not very knowledgeable on firearms, so I could be wrong. But for now, I’ll assume there’s a way to disable a rifle without it being visibly obvious.

I’ll put on a minarchist hat, and wrap a few layers of tin foil around it. I’m wondering if the disarming of the Marines was meant to be open and public, to tell everyone that disarmament is the shape of things to come, and everyone had better get used to it.

Before you scream at me, please understand that I’m not endorsing that! It’s just my speculation.

Scream at you? I totally think you’re right. Will mention next cast.

….at least disarming of open carry / getting rid of guns because guns are barbaric, individual and uncivilased, and replace with “civilized” collective government drones. (British spelling intentional)

I should have said “before anyone screams at me”. I just didn’t want anyone thinking I agreed with that. I don’t think I could have advocated that even on my worst Statist day!

I’m not a military humper, but if the Marines feel like they’ve been slapped in the face, I wouldn’t disagree with them.

    Michael:
“The chair is against the wall” was also used in the original Red Dawn.
Glad you liked the remake, I did as well.

      Ah, you’re right. It’s been a while.
