Grunge Rocker turned Grange Rocker Krist Novoselic is possibly the most interesting man in the world. He’s straight outta Compton via Seattle, and Croatia. He’s a pilot, author, political activist, candidate for office, radio personality, and gentleman farmer. He played bass in a little-known rock musical group called Nirvana. He survived playing in the band Flipper. He’s quit the music business, but was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and he’s currently playing music for kicks with members of The Foo Fighters, The Germs and The Beatles.
In a rare 90-minute interview, he tells Michael W. Dean and Neema V all about playing bass in Nirvana and Flipper, the DIY or DIE ethic, punk rock, how Krist and Kurt Cobain loved MWD’s band Bomb, and Krist’s ideas on changing democracy for the better.

Maybe it is good to have different points of view put forward on the show………I don’t know…..the second segment was very awkward. Like a statist intervention live on air.
The “ideas” put forward by Krist were unfortunately not new…he said himself that the “voting systems” he has been advocating for many, many years are old rules that have been hashed out in the statist courts years ago. This is why I gave up listening to statist talk about anything. It’s the same old shit over and over, expecting different results…insanity.
It was good practice for me to listen to this b/c I disagreed with a lot. Maybe I’m too cynical. Good job to the Feens and Krist for getting together and talking about differing ideas. I respect his passion (AND his ability to make the interview unlike SOME rock stars! HA!).
Thanks Darwin and Ike! It means a lot to us to hear that.

It was great to near new and different ideas on the Feens. Krist didn’t make me a believer, but I was glad he was on. And maybe his ideas put a few people on the path. And maybe his fans listen to him on the show, and they didn’t think much about liberty, and now you’ve got them curious. Can’t wait to hear the next guest you two have lined up for us.
Krist is obviously a very kind and intelligent man. It’s great to hear you guys respect each other even though krist hasn’t yet critically thought about his position enough. Not everybody gets exposed to the Feens, molyneux, spooner, ftl or others. Great show guys, you’ve both really come a long way since the first shows.
