Newly minted Freedom Feens Dan Greene and Caity Greene from the Greening Out Podcast (Scotland) yack with Michael W. Dean about krokodil, nanny laws, The National Health vs. Obamacare vs. Michael Dean, good audio, FeenPhone, young love, Caity’s one-woman show, seeing life as a movie, and why David Cameron is a liar a socialist and his feet stink. Plus he’s a bum.
Newly minted Freedom Feen Dan Greene from the Greening Out Podcast yacks with Michael W. Dean about how people don’t see “the goon in the room” with government and laws.
Then they discuss the bad kind of madness (one-worlders and the European Union), and the good kind of madness (the kind the brings you really odd music and other art), and the balance between creativity and insanity. Also explored is the concept that some “crazy” artists might not be that great, and many of their fans might not dig them if there wasn’t a fancy story and “myth” attached to them.
NOTE: Dan had mixer issues in the first segment, and Michael did noise reduction in post on that first segment. Michael HATES to do noise reduction, hates to “fix it in the mix”, but it had to be done. Next time it will sound good from start to finish. It all sounds good after the first segment. And hey, a segment Michael thinks sounds poor probably sounds better than most shows when they think they sound good.
Here is Dan and Caity’s song mentioned in this episode. You can listen here, its rough but an example of what they do.
No show tonight, we’ll be back tomorrow. Radio show tonight is going to be a replay of this afternoon’s show. But here’s a classic Feens from April 27, 2011, FREEDOM FEENS FOR YOU AND ME
Freedom fiends Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi celebrate changing the title of their podcast to FREEDOM FEENS. They talk about how the press tries to make honest non-violent people look like terrorists, they discuss idiots like Donald Trump who want to take your guns away, Gary Johnson being marginalized by the press for being pro-legalization, how the United Nations will never let you live under the sea, laws against non-existent drugs like JENKEM, how some people handle police brutality, what it’s like to be a street libertarian, how Thomas Jefferson was NOT a paragon of liberty because he owned slaves, and how to demand satisfaction with the Better Business Bureau. Then they review two great books they’ve never read, Three Felonies a Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent and Political Ponerology. Finally, they discuss how the government is a bully who says “I’m gonna hit you until you do what I want.”
Ben Stone the Bad Quaker and Michael W. Dean drop Part Nine in their 36-part series, “Adopting and Adapting the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts of World Service of Alcoholics Anonymous to treating the disease of Statism, the disease of clinging to bad ideas, and the disease of clinging to bad people.”
Michael and Ben give their experience, strength and hope on Step Nine: “Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.”
The Freedom Feens have no connection to Alcoholics Anonymous and are using the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts of AA in the open-source way that AA allows, as long as it is made clear there is no endorsement from AA.
Attorney Randy England esq. talks with Michael W. Dean and Davi Barker about their mutual favorite new show, Better Call Saul. Topics include: what exactly is Saul guilty of?, what’s up with Kim?, is Jimmy playing chess while Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill is playing Chess?, and will Wendy and Badger settle down and get married any time soon? Also: 3-act format in episodic media explained, and is it “Bitcoin” or “bitcoins”?
Co-hosts on this show recorded over the new version of FeenPhone.
New Feens Co-host Hugo González sneaks across the Internet borders from Mexico (via FeenPhone) to try to steal radio jobs from hard-working patriotic American conservative talk show hosts MK Lords and Michael W. Dean. Lombrices!
Topics include The Oscars, patriotism, film, AnCaps, libertarianism, voluntarism, minarchists, why audio media is better than video media, and why Michael is glad cell phone cameras didn’t exist while he was out sewing his wild oats back in the good ole days of sex, drugs and punk rock.
“I have no problem with small-gov libertarians. They’re just AnCaps who haven’t yet left the larval stage .” – Freedom Feens.
