Classic Feens – BRAVE NEW LIBERTARIAN WORLD

Play

Derrick J is off in San Francisco saying “Jeez, no wonder Michael Dean lived here before I was born! This place is really cool!” so tonight we have a classic Feens from Dec 2011, and we’ll be back live tomorrow. Enjoy! worms!

Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi do libertarian movie reviews of Brave New World, Atlas Shrugged, Demolition Man, Dead Man, Brazil, Logan’s Run and more. They talk about how The largest “service” the government provides is reminding you that you can’t live without the government, they discuss their plans for SEO podcast episodes and some solo Neema casts, they tell you how not to podfade, ask “should kids be told that Santa is real?”,

They wonder why one week online poker is a felony, the next it’s legal and taxed. They discuss what will happen if SOPA passes, talk about how to bypass BitTorrent throttling and wonder about the NYC PD saying they have the right to shoot a commercial jet out of the air.

Statists are like bed bugs – Freedom Feens radio

Play

desktop-1428720567Founding Feen Neema Vedadi joins owner of the weekend Feens show (Ben Stone the Bad Quaker) to lay it out on the table and poke it with a stick.

Hour 1: Statists are like bed bugs

Statists are like bed bugs. An infestation that’s hard to get rid of, and they suck your blood while you work and while you slumber.
Neema talked about genocide and how Madeleine Albright admitted half a million children was an acceptable price to pay to punish Saddam Hussein.

Trumpism and the winning divide-and-conquer strategy. Saying the crazy stuff your uncle says and getting away with it.
Neema talks about a rap video called Terrorist Threats by Ab Soul and Danny Brown: https://youtu.be/zSWpN_KSJzw

Hour 2: The unreliability of eye witnesses
Daniel Simons’ gorilla suit/basketball game.
Ben tells about an auto crash. Then the story of the lady at PorcFest that misremembered The High Fivers (story that got Antiwar.com on FBI

watch list). Ben misspoke. He said Scot Horton did the story but it was

Justin Raimondo at Antiwar.com. Also the story of the video of the Boston bomber that never existed.
And Then! Neema got droned! Well, actually his internet connection died, but Ben and Neema endeavored to persevere.

Humans are problem-solving charismatic megafauna – Freedom Feens radio

Play

desktop-1428724131Ben Stone and James Babb!!!!!

Hour 1
People are problem solvers: our nature
Megafauna is the word Ben was searching for to describe oversized animals, which includes humans, most of which are extinct.
On what MK said: Humans have empathy, we feel good when we see happy people. We rejoice with them. People enjoy watching others prosper, that’s why people like game shows.

We feel sad when people are sad. We get depressed when we walk through a city where no one looks at each other, but are happy in campgrounds where everyone smiles and waves.
The Collateral Murder video James and Ben talked about:

The Churchill quote Ben referred to

Chuck Yeager admitting remorse for murdering civilians.

The CIA documents Ben referenced,
James referenced this RT article
Hour 2
Rhino Security’s ProxyHam killed. Likely an NSL was involved.

The Fundamental Flaw In Non-Anarchistic Libertarian Thought

Ben mentioned the book; The Art of Not Being Governed by James C. Scott

No live show tonight. We return live tomorrow. In the meantime, for your dancing and dining pleasure here is a Classic Feens from March 2013:

Broken2

Possibly our best sounding episode ever. Michael and Neema discuss the difference between capitalism (good) and corporatism / Mercantilism (bad.) They talk about how wonderful marriage is, the odd FedGoon site that is invite-only that apparently has something secret about our movie on it, they discuss NY Republican gun-grabbing IRA-supporting DHS-subcommittee leader Peter King, the provisional IRA, the Old IRA, Irish independence, St. Patrick’s Day, the movies The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and Bloody Sunday and In The Name of the Father, “Stranglehold” trivia: Ted Nugent, examples of Boleros in rock music, snopes.com debunking the idea that the FedGov is certainly buying 3000 armored tanks to kill you, alternative meanings of the phrase “free stater.

Libertarian Fundamentalism is So Square – Freedom Feens radio

Play

01-Woman-With-A-Gas-Resistant-Pram-England-1938MK Lords, Chandler St. Pierre and Ben Stone  discuss MK’s article on Libertarian Fundamentalism.

Chandler recommended The Art of War by Sun Tzu.

In hour two the Feens talked about humans as problem solvers.

solvers
Chandler talked about the movie The Edge.

Ben introduces the concept that the State is simply a problem. Compared to some problems humans have faced, the State is a minor problem. Chandler relates the conversation to the Grateful Dead song Touch of Grey, and MK tells about what activist Carlos Moralas has said, that humans are anti-fragile and actually improve with some kinds of stress.
