Madonna and Nick

A full squirm of worms, Jim “Asparagus” Jesus, Michael W. Dean, Jeremy Henggeler and Nick Hazelton talk about how Nick Hazelton is going to probably “eliminate” the Feens and Lolberts and take over the shows.

Topics include the “socialism for packages” that is the USPS (i.e. the postal weasels), and how much better the free market is. And liberty scammers. There are a lot of ’em, and a lot of dumb people who like them.

Also, redemption in the third yak. #DontCutMyBallsOff

Speaking of the post office, a few years ago I moved from one town to another that literally borders the first town. The post office in the first town receives that mail for the post office in the second.
I stopped getting regular mail deliveries a few days after moving in and it took about 3 months to get it straightened out. I visited the post office in my new town in person and they said everything was fine on their end and told me to come back if the problem continued. When I went back they sent me to the post office in my previous town because that was the main office where the mail was sorted. I visited them twice and both times they assured me that everything was good on their end. Then I called the USPS 800 number. USPS did an investigation, and told me they were unable to find any problems, and despite failing to find out why I was still not getting mail closed the investigation. Finally I visit the main post office a third time and by the grace of God found a competent worker. After I explained the situation to she went to the back room for about 5 minutes then came back out and told me that there had been a delivery hold on my mail and that it should be fixed now.
Apparently either my landlord or the previous tenant had put a notice in the mailbox to cease delivery to that address. Since I had already completed my change of address by that time the post office placed the hold on my mail.

  2. The comment about the post office losing money every year is false. The post office is self sufficient, it makes enough money on its own to pay its employees and fund their retirements without money from the federal government.

The reason the post office is in financial trouble is because the Republicans during the Bush administration mandated that the post office had to fund their pensions seventy years into the future creating a fintual deficit and fiscal crisis. They were forced to cover pensions 70 years in advance for employees that aren’t even born yet.

This was done deliberately by the Republicans to bankrupt the post office and put it into the private sector. The post office does not take money from the federal government because it makes enough profit to run on it’s own. They don’t have to beg for money.

      Arthur,

This is horseshit. On its face what you’re saying is true, but it ignores the funding of the pensions of postal workers. Deep deep debt. You’re just parroting what the state lovers say. It’s cherry picking. Overall, end to end, the post office loses money. Paid at the point of a gun by tax payers.

Post office = bad. Monopolies = Bad. Things that suck and don’t allow competition = bad.

But you arguing the minutia of this stuff is you polishing the brass on the titanic.

I work with a Nepali and he was saying that the Yak will be slaughtered eventually. They castrate the Yak because the meat is better after you castrate the male and let the hormones leave the body for about a year… Then you slaughter the animal and the meat tastes better.
