What’s the hash rate, Kenneth? – Freedom Feens radio

Bradon gets droned off the air for libertarian crimes against the nature and physics of radio and the Internet. So MWD, Nikki, and Jeremy talk about GG Allin and the Day Nikki lost her virginity (she did NOT lose her virginity to GG Allin.) The plans for extraction to Alpha-Centauri to avoid the State are discussed, cats in general are praised, and it turns out that maybe the stellar F-ups (allegedly) Bitpark Coin may do the right thing after all, eventually.

My wife is a big-time Deadhead. I like them but I’m not quite as enthusiastic about them as her, except when I manage to score some blotter. Then I like to crank up American Beauty and turn on a lava lamp.

Long before I was into them at all (she turned me on to them after I had kind of dismissed them for decades on the basis of a couple of short listens), a friend of mine constantly complained about his girlfriend’s collection of taped shows: “They make the same mistakes on the same songs every time they play.”

But I did think it was really cool that they were OK with their fans taping the concerts and sharing/trading the tapes. Sort of pre-Bipcot-No-Gov.

I wasn’t a deadhead, but I saw the Dead live 9 times. Absolutely influenced everything I do, including BipCot NoGov. The taping thing always fascinated me, especially since I was seeing the Dead while being a punk rocker, steeped in anti-commercialism. But the Dead and their fans understood it better than a lot of punks.
