In regards to your discussion about short buildings and it’s correlation to freedom: Alaska, or Anchorage rather, has really short buildings (shorter currently due to a major earthquake back in the day) and SEEMS “free-er” to me than my home state of Ohio. But it ranks 42 in that “freedom in the 50 states” map on mercatus.org.
People seem pretty darn laid back in AK. Hell, we drank beer in the hospital while visiting a friend. No one hassled us about it.
P.S. You should try to slip in L7’s “Wargasm” someday…..
P.P.S. Thank you for helping to make my work day so much more enjoyable.

      Glad we could help!

I’d rather live in Alaska than Ohio by a long shot.

You know, a lot of folks in Wyoming have summer property in Alaska.

    • Matt says:

Like skirt length, there is a def correlation between building tallest building height and bubble market tops (google it). So, if you believe bubble markets are correlated with diminished freedom (not a stretch), the rest follows. qed. sort of.

      • MichaelWDean says:

Dean’s Law: The amount of freedom in a region is inversely proportionate to the height of the tallest building in that region.

I missed the “Poor Quality Episode” but I have to confess I don’t really care about audio quality. I have burned up my hearing through years of industrial work, power tools, guns, and the like. My ipod has the cheapest buds I can buy so I’m sure the quality is further degraded.

I know there are a lot of feens who really appreciate audio quality and I’m not putting them down, that’s a cool topic if you’re into it. I wanted to thank the Feens proper for the great devotion shown to us by straddling two issues. Quality and content seem to go hand in hand and I don’t get annoyed by audio talk even though I really don’t care.

Thanks for the show and I think we all need to take a step back and be supportive rather than critical when inevitable hiccups happen.

Sound zounded good in this episode.

And when would be a good time to call in about the disaster, I should warn you what I have to say will probably take around 15 minutes. Though what happened only took seconds time slowed down for me quite a bit.

  6. Mark says:

I’ve commented on Feens audio quality before, in a (hopefully) funny and serious way. If I were a raging communist, I’d still listen to the Feens just because you have such great audio quality.

You guys are perfectionists, and I love the result. But don’t be too hard on yourselves! One not-so-great episode in 187 is a damn good record. Though it was below your normal standards, it STILL sounded at least as good as a lot of media out there, and better than many.

    “Just one more software license…”

“Just a few more tweaks of the mixer settings…”

“Just one more hit of krokodil…”

    “Just one more tranny hooker…”
