Democrats are John F. Kennedy before an election, and John McCain after an election – live Feens radio archive

The Feens yack on the radio about how Concord, New Hampster cops consider peaceful Free State Project activists to be terrorists, and want a Bearcat tank to deal a threat of violence to the “challenges” presented by peaceful activists. (Cops are saying Obama gunna buy me a Bearcat!) Then the Feens explain how Social guidance films from the Military Industrial Film Complex created the false “America of the Mind” that people are always trying to “get back to.” The Feens discuss Draco the “Lawgiver” and how he “gave” us draconian laws, isn’t “gunpoint” the name of a neighborhood in Oakland?, and Paul Bonneau on an update of the Laffer Curve.

From Concord, New Hampshire Bearcat government-theft money application:

Read the whole PDF: The Concord NH Police Department has made false and misleading statements in a grant application for $258,024 in federal funds from the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) to receive a Lenco Bearcat armored vehicle, hereinafter the “Tank.”…..

I’m glad you brought up the point that “going back” to some fantasy of the past when “things were better” is not a viable position: because “things” were never as great as we are propagandized into believing they were. Black and Jewish Americans know better. So do the Native Tribes who were deprived of their culture, land, possessions, and lives. So I guess it’s a “white bread” myth.

Re the Cold War: I didn’t have nightmares, but I was convinced the world would end before I turned 21. Surprise! I’m 48 now and it’s still here. Didn’t expect THAT.

From the early 1940’s until 1969, thousands of government training and propaganda films were produced at the Lookout Mountain Studios in Laurel Canyon. Lots of times companies like Bell or others would be the official production company, but in reality the film was done using the government studio, government cameras, and government employees at Lookout Mountain.
Lookout Mountain Studios is alleged to be the source of several 1950’s era snuff films, and there’s an odd connection between the studio and the house where Frank Zappa lived and hosted the birth of the LA version of the hippie movement.

oh yeah! There’s a zappa record where he has “the central scruitinizer” whispering between songs, and at one point there’s what’s supposed to be a phone call between two women taking about being in Laurel Canyon and being followed and watched.

Well, I guess anyone not part of the current administration qualifies as a “terrorist” these days. I suppose next they’ll claim they need an A-10 warthog to deal with the local insurrectionists running the brownie troop. 😉 Actually, a lot of those soccer moms can be considerably more violent that some peace hippie free staters when it comes to selling a truckload of cookies for their kid. Probably good odds of getting pistol whipped by one of them in your office if you don’t order at least three boxes of Samoas or Thin Mints. God forbid if their kid doesn’t make enough money to go to camp, and thereby go on to live a fruitful life. 😉

It’s easy to question the past with 20/20 hindsight, but I have to wonder how anybody could watch those ‘social guidance’ films without laughing. Some of them seem downright creepy now.

I remember in a high school science class, we saw a US navy training film from 1942 on Ohm’s Law. On the plus side, it was very clear and concise. At the end was a warning that the content of the film was CLASSIFIED TOP SECRET!!!

To explain how ridiculous that is, Ohm’s Law is one of the most basic concepts in electrical theory. It’s almost like learning the alphabet before studying English literature.

About half the class burst out laughing upon seeing that. Any guesses about who laughed the loudest? When the teacher asked me what was so funny, I replied “I’m pretty sure the Japanese figured out Ohm’s Law before they attacked Pearl Harbor.”

    It was worth the detention!
