Without the government who would point guns at you? Chris Cantwell, that’s who! “The Snooki of Liberty” muzzle sweeps the cameraman, himself and downtown Keene NH with his snubbie revolver in this Colbert Report piece. (Cantwell’s horribly unsafe gun handling is at 2 min 5 seconds into the video). Boston T. Party and Bill Buppert give their opinion on unsafe gun handling.

The four rules of gun safety are explained very well in “Gun Training With The Non-aggression Principle, Vol 1: Basic Handgun and Rifle with Jared Waltz

Trailer for same.

The four rules of gun safety are explained very well and demonstrated by a pretty girl in the beginning of the movie Guns and Weed: The Road to Freedom.

  1. such an epic show… probably my all-time fav at the moment… really damn good stuff!!!

As much as I love this show, something has been floating in the back of my head about the muzzle awareness issue. Having trained in Small Unit Tactics and in situations that have a “360 degree” range, I’ve found that there is just simply no such thing as perfect muzzle discipline. As much as Boston is one of my ideological heroes, I think he is off on this topic. I didnt quite know how to verbalize it, but this article does it for me.

*this in no way takes away from the fact Cantwell is a doucher

    • MichaelWDean says:

      I can see that.

This pic says it all, lol:

But, it’s still something to teach. I fucking hate shooting next to people who are muzzle sweeping me. People who don’t consider safety scare the fuck out of me.

People who ingrain it and will safely ignore it here and there as needed in a pinch for a reason (with their finger firmly OFF the trigger!) are OK.

      • J M says:

Agreed. The temple index in that picture is a clear explanation that ready positions are situational dependent. And you are right, I think there is a huge difference between Billy Bob or Leroy Jenkins sweeping everyone at the range out of bad gun handling skills vs. 4 trained guys in a fire team. Needless sweeping out of inexperience is no excuse.

Background on that picture…’temple index’ or muzzle up positions are a huge debate in the gun world right now… Why I dont know. Its safe. But “range mentality’ says it always has to be down.

        • MichaelWDean says:

Range mentality safety also doesn’t work in an apartment building with people above you, people below you, people on either side of you and thin walls like a lot of apartment buildings have.

Main thing to drill in people’s heads is keep your fucking finger off that trigger. I even do that while holding a hair dryer, it’s so ingrained.

Love your shows with Bill Buppert. Will he be back on the show soon?

  4. J M says:

    Epic.
Liberty needs more shows like this!
