This is a replay, with commentary, of a September 2nd, 2012 interview with David Crowley. Interview was by Freedom Feen Michael W. Dean. Commentary here is by MWD and by Lousander Feen.

Basic premise is “We don’t know WHAT really happened, but don’t rush to judge a director by his trailer, and don’t rush to co-sign the official State story. If you do, you’re square.

Gray State Trailer

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

that’s the documentary “making of” thing. I wish someone would post the rough cut of the whole movie. I hear it may exist.

No movie exists. check your facts. He made an movie trailer with no coherent story line, and he made a documentary of the movie which consists of interviews with the people involved with production (which would be cheap enough to do). He collected $67,500 from his “backers” and spent $6,000 for the trailer. We are not given an accounting for the rest of the money.

Great show. Well done Michael. I thoroughly agree with your response to those who have already made up their minds about him.

  6. David Freenman says:

Heart wrenching what happened. I hope this movie gets released even if its unfinished.

  7. Ikefeen says:

Tragedy. Don’t know how finished the movie was, but imo it should be wrapped up by those closest to him and released. He definitely wanted it released.

I hope his family, especially the grandparents of his child find the peace and support they need. Terrible news.

Movie was never started. He made the trailer for $6,000 and that was it. That was 2012. He made a documentary of the movie which consisted of interviews with people involved with production. He lost his backers for the movie; he wasn’t making any money; his wife quit her job (even though she was the sole member bringing in income) to go into business for herself (a business which never got off the ground) and with no income, they bought a house for $219,000 in Dec. 2013. I cannot help but wonder what bank gave them a mortgage, and if they did not pursue a mortgage, how they got the money to buy the house when neither had income.
